Cyber Monday Comes Early For Streamers, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV Stick And Roku Stick Prices Slashed
Black Friday is officially in the rear view mirror, but it's full "stream" ahead for Cyber Monday. No, we didn't mean to say "full steam," not when there are so many deals on streaming devices to be had, including a delightful $11 savings on Google's Chromecast dongle. We've been fans of Chromecast ever since we reviewed the device over a year ago, and it's only gotten better since then.
Head over to Amazon and you'll find Chromecast marked down to$24 (make that $23), a savings of nearly 32 percent over its regular selling price of $35. That's about as cheap as it's ever been (we've previously seen it on sale for $25, and sometimes that's for a refurbished model), and quite frankly a steal considering how much it's been upgraded in the past year.
Second up is Amazon's Fire TV stick, a new but promising entry to the streaming world. Scoring a deal, however, requires knowing where to shop -- Amazon hasn't jumped the gun on Cyber Monday and is asking full price ($39) for Fire TV, but over at Best Buy, the Fire TV stick is currently on sale for $25.
The last streaming stick we found marked down is the Roku 3500R. While Amazon isn't showing its Fire TV stick any savings love at the moment, the e-tailer is selling the Roku 3500R dongle with remote for a few pennies shy of $40, down from $50.
We don't know how long any of the above sales will last, so if you're thinking about picking one up, you may want to act fast.
