Corsair's Carbide Series 300R Gets A Window

When we reviewed the Corsair Carbide Series 300R in April, we were impressed with the compact gaming case's sturdiness and accommodating interior. (Though, we were a little less excited about its noise.) One thing the case didn't have was a way to show off just how much hardware you can fit into it. After all, this is a gaming case, which means you're going to have components with some sizzle - you might as well show off your stuff when you truck the Carbide 300R to the next LAN party. With this update, Corsair remedies that problem. The case now sports a window that covers most of the side panel.

The 300R's price is now $99.99, up $10 from the windowless case we reviewed. Thanks to fan grille and mounting holes drilled into the window, you don't have to lose airflow to style.

He took a degree in English and tech writing with him to Computer Power User Magazine and spent years reviewing high-end workstations and gaming systems, processors, motherboards, memory and video cards. His enthusiasm for PC hardware also made him a natural fit for covering the burgeoning modding community, and he wrote CPU’s “Mad Reader Mod” cover stories from the series’ inception until becoming the publication editor for Smart Computing Magazine.  A few years ago, he returned to his first love, reviewing smoking-hot PCs and components, for HotHardware.
