Corsair Announces Duo of 16GB Flash Drives

Corsair announced two new 16GB flash drives today. The new high-performance 16GB Flash Voyager GT uses specially selected, hand-screened MLC NAND flash memory in a dual-channel configuration. Corsair combines this memory with a high-speed controller IC in order to deliver rapid read and write speeds that are significantly faster than most USB drives. The new 16GB Flash Voyager GT uses Corsair’s water- and shock-resistant all-rubber casing.


Corsair also expanded its best-selling Flash Voyager Mini product family with a new 16GB model. The latest Chip-on-board technology made the increased capacity possible. With Chip-on-board technology, movies, music, photos, and personal documents can be stored in a format that’s one-third the size of a typical USB flash drive. The Flash Voyager Mini features a cap-less retractable USB connector and a rubberized housing.
