Canon's New EOS 70D DSLR Boasts "Instant and Precise" Focusing of Images and HD Video
The EOS 70D features a 20.2 megapixel APS-C Canon CMOS sensor and a DIGIC 5+ Image Processor and an ISO range of 100-12800, with the ability to snap sharp images even in low light. It can handle SD/SDHC/SDXC and Ultra High Speed cards.
There’s also a stereo microphone with manual audio level adjustment that features an attenuator to prevent clipping, and Canon’s Stepping Motor lenses are designed to reduce noise such that the mic doesn’t pick it up.
The touch-enabled Clear View LCD monitor II LCD is 3 inches, and users can apply seven different Creative Filters in Live View and rely on features such as High Dynamic Range, Multiple Exposure, Handheld Night Scene, and more.
The camera body alone will run you $1,119; with an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens or an EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens, the bundle will cost $1,349 or $1,549, respectively. The EOS 70D will land on the market in September.
