Blink And You’ll Miss Bethesda’s Epic Doom Trailer For E3 2015

There are teaser trailers, and then there are teaser trailers. The newest installment in the Doom franchise is currently under the development, and id Software (along with publisher Bethesda) are trying to build hype for the game with a fresh pre-E3 2015 trailer. However, you had better not blink because the incredibly short, 12-second trailer only has roughly three seconds of actual game footage.

What a tease!

Thankfully, the footage that we do see looks awesome and gives us a clear look at the Revenant demon that gamers were first introduced to over twenty years ago with Doom 2. Another 1994-era scene stealer is the Super Shotgun which makes an all too brief appearance in the trailer.

The next Doom will reportedly be available on the PC (of course) as well as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but a release date has not yet been announced. While it’s disappointing that id Software has given us what amounts to table scraps when we’d at least like a hearty appetizer, it looks as though we’re going to have to wait until E3 2015 before we see any additional details or longer footage of the next Doom installment.

If you’re really hard up for some more Doom action, you can always look back at the CG teaser trailer from E3 2014 which you’ll find below:
