Best Buy To Offer Value-Priced $197 HP Laptop On Black Friday
Let the holiday shopping season begin! With Black Friday just a
day away, we're seeing plenty of announcements from various retailers trying to
convince us to get up early and walk through their doors. Like other retailers,
Best Buy is ready to
get in on the action this year. One of the retailer's hot offerings this year
is sure to be a $197 HP laptop that will be available in stores on Friday.
The $197 HP laptop features an Intel Celeron 900 processor (2.2GHz), 2GB memory, and a 160GB 7200 rpm hard drive. The machine comes with integrated Intel X4500M graphics which will get the job done for HD video but not much in terms of gaming. For those who miss out on the deal or who want something with a bit more power, Best Buy is also offering more than 30 laptops, six netbooks, 17 desktops, and four all-in-ones from the nine top computing brands (Acer, Apple, Asus, Dell, Gateway, HP, Sony, Toshiba, Lenovo) this holiday season.
Best Buy's laptops and netbooks range in price from $249.99
to $1,999.99; eight of the retailer's desktops are priced under $500. Apple
laptops range from $999.99 to $2,499.99. In addition to the HP $197 laptop,
Best Buy plans to offer a competitive Windows 7 netbook and Best Buy-Dell
Limited Edition Exclusive Netbooks.
