ASUS ZenBook 13 Edition 30 Commemorates The High Tech Giant's 30th Anniversary In Style

ASUS just announced its ZenBook 13 Edition 30, which is a new, rather stylish limited edition model that was developed to celebrate the company's 30th anniversary.

The ZenBook 13 Edition 30 features an Intel Core i7-8565U processor, 16GB of memory, and 1TB of storage. The laptop includes an NVIDIA GeForce MX250 discrete GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM. It has a 50 Wh battery with up to 13.2 hours of battery life, an ASUS SonicMaster stereo audio system, along with Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) connectivity. It also includes a 3D IR HD camera which allows users to unlock their device with Windows Hello facial recognition. In addition, the notebook is compatible with both Cortana and Alexa digital assistants, and can pick up your voice from across the room thanks to far-field microphones.

ASUS particularly focused on creating a compact device. The ZenBook incorporates a 13.3 inch frameless NanoEdge display with a 95% screen-to-body ratio. It measures 11.89 x 7.44 x 0.73 inches (30.2 x 18.9 x 1.85cm) and weighs just 2.84 pounds (1.29kg).

The ZenBook features a ScreenPad 2.0 secondary touchscreen, which behaves similarly to a smartphone and is intended to enhance productivity. It includes a 5.65” FHD+ Super IPS display, smudge resistant glass, and precision touchpad technology.

Since ASUS is celebrating its 30th anniversary, the ZenBook pulls out all the stops. The laptop is encased in “Pearl White” genuine Italian leather. It is finished off with rose gold anodized diamond-cut edges and trim bar and a rose gold-plated 30th anniversary logo. It is also accompanied by several accessories, including a mouse, a leather lid cover, and a carrying sleeve.

This exclusive laptop boasts a high price tag, as you might expect. The ZenBook 13 Edition 30 is available from the ASUS online store for $1,399.99 USD, but it is currently unclear how long the device will be available for purchase.

ASUS also recently launched their ZenFone 6. While the ZenBook 13 Edition 30 is an exclusive product, the ZenFone 6 is marketed toward the masses. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 6.4-inch display with a 92% screen-to-body ratio. It also includes 48MP primary and 13MP ultra-wide cameras that are attached to a module and can flip 180 degrees. Many consumers are very interested in the ZenFone’s price tag. In a market where one smartphone can cost over $1,000, the ZenFone 6 rings in at $499 USD. Unlike the ZenBook 13 Edition 30, the ZenFone 6 is available at a several retailers.
