Earlier this morning, we brought you news of a new ASUS gaming laptop -- the ROG Strix GL702ZC -- complete with an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Radeon RX 580 graphics. Not to be left out, ASUS has also unleashed two new gaming monitors that are sure to impress potential customers thanks to their flashy good looks and impressive spec sheets.

The two monitors are the ROG Strix XG32VQ And XG35VQ, both of which have an 1800R curvature to accentuate their mammoth dimensions. As you might expect from displays in the ROG family, both feature VA panels, customizable light signature projection, Aura Sync lighting on the back to help set the mood when gaming, support for AMD FreeSync, and have a response time (grey-to-grey) of 4ms.

The XG32VQ is the smaller of the two, and features a display resolution of 2560x1440 (16:9). The contrast ratio for the display is listed at 3,000:1, it has a brightness rating of 300 cd/m² and it achieves 125% of the sRGB color space gamut. As for refresh rates, you'll be happy to know that the display can crank it all the way to 144Hz, while the aforementioned FreeSync support can work over its HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.2 interfaces. There's also a Mini DisplayPort connection and two USB 3.0 ports to accommodate your peripherals.

The XG35VQ ups the ante with a 35-inch panel with a resolution of 3440x1440 (21:9). Unfortunately, specs suffer somewhat compared to its smaller sibling. Contrast ratio and brightness are listed at 2,500:1 and 250 cd/m² respectively, while the maximum refresh rate comes in at "only" 100MHz. Likewise, FreeSync only works over HDMI 2.0 on the XG35VQ. Like the 32-inch variant, the XG35VQ include a two-port USB 3.0 hub, although it loses the Mini DisplayPort on the back.

According to Hexus, the ROG Strix XG32VQ And XG35VQ will both bow in mid-December priced at £549.99 ($728) and £799.99 ($1,059) respectively.
