AMD Radeon GPU Prices May Spike Again Next Month, Upgrade Before They Do
You don't need us to tell you that late 2026 isn't a great time to be buying a PC. Just a couple of months ago, NVIDIA's GPUs skyrocketed in price, again, and there hasn't been much availability for GeForce RTX cards, particularly the high end ones, in recent times. Intel's shares dropped after data center revenue soared because client computing is currently in the toilet. So it's probably no surprise to learn that AMD may be set to raise the price of its Radeon GPUs and GDDR6 memory to board partners soon.

Initially posted to WeChat and translated to English by Korean X user @harukaze5719, it's rumored that internal sources within AMD are bracing for a price hike as soon as next month. That means board partners will have to pay more for the chips that go on graphics cards, and those added costs will in turn be passed on to the gaming public. According to the translated post, GDDR6 memory prices are up 8-10% over the course of Q3 2026, and it says that AMD adjusts its pricing quarterly.
All that is to say, if you absolutely need a graphics card upgrade, now is probably the time to buy one. Since Radeons are more readily available, we've got a collection of Radeons that can fit most performance needs, and this is as cheap as they'll be for a while.
