Amazon Invades Mobile Gaming Market with “Air Patriots”
Is there any corner of the tech market that Amazon won’t explore? The company’s latest venture is into the booming mobile gaming market, where it has released a tower defense-type game called “Air Patriots” for iOS and Android platforms via its Amazon Game Studios.
Available from the App Store, Google Play Store, and Amazon AppStore for Android, the game is free and features a twist on traditional tower defense games in that your forces are mobile, so play is more dynamic.
Amazon’s previous foray into mobile gaming was a game called “Living Classics” that was designed for Facebook.
This surely won’t be the last we hear from Amazon on the mobile gaming front; Amazon Game Studios is hiring for several jobs in that department.
