Amazon Announces “Kindle FreeTime Unlimited” Content Service For Kids
Amazon now offers an extension to FreeTime called FreeTime Unlimited that offers an all-you-can-eat buffet of kids’ content for a flat rate. Designed for 3-8 year olds, Kindle FreeTime Unlimited costs $2.99 per kid per month or $6.99 for the whole family, for Amazon Prime users. For everyone else, the price tag is $4.99 per child or $9.99 per family.

Kindle FreeTime app
Kindle FreeTime Unlimited will come as a free OTA update in the next few weeks for the Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD, and Kindle Fire HD 8.9.

Custom profiles for each child
Any in-app payments, social media capabilities, and ads will be removed from FreeTime Unlimited content, so parents don’t have to worry about the children racking up bills or wandering outside of the content they’re consuming. It’s also ideal because, as any parent of a young child can tell you (and Amazon Kindle VP Peter Larsen stated clearly in a press release announcing the new service), you never know when a child will want to watch the same show over and over again or if he’ll like a particular item at all.

Set limits for screen time
No more renting or buying with fingers crossed for parents with Kindle Fires; it’s now all there in one spot to be consumed as needed.
