The IPS panel used on the XB273K offers 90% DCI-P3 color space, and it is VESA Display HDR 400 certified. The monitor isn’t cheap and will sell for $1,299 when it lands during the fourth quarter in North America, EMEA, and China.
Acer also has the $899 Nitro XV273K gaming monitor aiming for extremely high refresh rates and ultra-high resolution at an affordable price. It is an IPS UHD display supporting AMD Radeon FreeSync tech and a 1ms response time. The native resolution is 4K UHD, and the display has a 144Hz refresh rate. Acer also certified the display for HDR VESA Display HDR 400 and it covers 90% DCI-P3 color gamut. Acer also has a Nitro XV272U P 27-inch screen with WQHD resolution, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut, and a Nitro XF272U P TN, 27-inch WQHD monitor.
Acer's Predator Thronos gaming chair is something totally outside the norm for the company. The Thronos Gaming Chair is a steel structure that is 1.5 meters tall and is dual-tone black with white or blue accents. It offers deep vibration feedback where the chair vibrates with game impacts. It is adjustable with a footrest and cabin that can recline up to 140-degrees. An overhead brace supports three 27-inch gaming monitors and has a space for a Predator gaming PC. Acer is mum on when Thronos will launch and how much it will cost but think lots of money, and you will be safe.
Acer's Swift 5 notebook is the world's lightest 15-inch notebook. It tips the scales at 2.2 pounds and still packs in the latest hardware, including 8th gen Intel Core processors. The Swift 5 (SF515-51T) version uses Core i7-8565U or Core i5-8265U processors and promises up to ten hours of run time per charge. The rig has magnesium alloy top and bottom covers and is 0.63-inches thick.
Acer will pack the Swift 5 with up to 16GB of RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. Screen resolution for the 15.6-inch display is 1920 x 1080 with IPS tech and touch support. Other features include 2x2 802.11ac WiFi, USB 3.1 Type-C Gen-2 port, dual USB 3.1 Type-A ports and an HDMI port. Acer will ship the Swift 5 in January starting at $1,099.
