Samsung Debuts Ultra Touch, OMNIA HD and BEAT DJ
The first mentioned phone (Ultra Touch) features a remarkable eight megapixel camera with Dual Power LED, GPS with navigation, TouchWiz UI with Mobile Widget, and Auto Rotation with a 3x4 inch keypad. The OMNIA HD steps it up with a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, TV output, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage space, a microSD card slot, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, support for geo-tagging and widgets and the Symbian S60 5.0 operating system. The multimedia-centric BEAT DJ comes with just 50MB of internal storage, although users can load up more media onto a microSD card. It also offers up an enhanced music experience including full touch Music Evolution with Spin Wheel Touch and DISC UI -- an advanced music play user interface.
As is typically the case with trade show debuts, Samsung is remaining pretty quiet when it comes to overall pricing and availability. For now, we'll just have to be satisfied with knowing it's somewhere around the bend, though it does make choosing between buying a phone now or holding off for what you know will be better that much more difficult.
