Razer's Brings the Funk (and Ergonomics) to Ambidextrous 'Ouroboros' Gaming Mouse
Razer's new Ourboros mouse for gamers might be the funkiest looking rodent this side of the planet Ork, but it's with comfort and ergonomics in mind that the peripheral maker designed it. What's more, left-handed gamers will be thrilled to know Razer didn't play favorites with this particular mouse, which sports an ambidextrous design.
"Designed for excellence and total ownage, the Razer Ouroboros was intended to be wielded by all serious gamers looking to win any FPS, RTS or RPG with custom-made dominance," said Robert 'RazerGuy' Krakoff, president of Razer USA. Razer said its design team focused their attention on three key areas: length of the mouse, the back arch, and the grip profile. It has an adjustable palm wrest that can move up to 0.9 inches to accommodate various hand sizes, two interchangeable side panels to suit claw, palm, or hybrid grip styles, and an adjustable back tile angle for palm support.
More traditional specs include a 4G dual sensor system with up to 8200 DPI, 11 programmable buttons, 1,000Hz ultrapolling, 1ms response time, up to 200 inches per second/50g acceleration, and a 7-foot braided cable.
Not for the light of wallet, adopting a Razer Ourboro mouse will set you back $130 (MSRP).
