RadioShack to Slash iPhone 4S Price by $75 on August 26, No Carrier Left Behind

If you can't wait for the iPhone 5 to come out, the best deal for an iPhone 4S will be at your local neighborhood RadioShack. The electronics chain dropped us a line to let us know it's slashing $75 off the price of all AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint iPhone 4S models effective Sunday, August 26, 2012.

That means you'll be able to purchase an iPhone 4S 16GB for $125, 32GB for $225, and 64GB for $325. The note didn't expressly lay out contract terms, but you can assume these are subsidized prices that require a qualifying two-year service agreement with whichever carrier you choose.

RadioShack's price cut is the latest in a string of reductions by vendors looking to offload existing iPhone 4S inventory ahead of the iPhone 5 launch, which Apple is expected to announce on September 12, 2012. The new pricing also trumps that of Walmart, which recently reduced the iPhone 4S to $148.
