Phone 5S and iPhone 5C Available for Sale From Apple Online with AT&T, Verizon and Sprint

Today is launch day for Apple's new flagship iPhone 5S and its less expensive sibling, the iPhone 5C. Since Apple opted not to allow pre-orders for the higher-end version, the only way to get one today is to march into a brick-and-mortar store and hope they have one in stock (word on the web is that Radio Shack might be your best bet). Alternately, you can order one of the new phones online direct from Apple, though shipping times are all over the map.

Let's start with the Space Gray version of the iPhone 5S, which is supposed to be the most popular. As it currently stands, the 16GB model ships in 7-10 business days for AT&T and Verizon subscribers, and 1-3 business days for Sprint. The same is true of the 32GB SKU, while you'll have to wait 7-10 business days on all three carriers for the 64GB model.

If you've decided to go with the Gold model, all three capacities are listed as being available to ship in October on each of the wireless carriers. Silver SKUs ship a little sooner with both the 16GB and 64GB models going out in 7-10 business days for AT&T and Verizon subscribers, and 1-3 business days for Sprint. The 32GB model ships in 7-10 business days on all three carriers.

Shipping times are far less scattered for the iPhone 5C. Regardless of color, capacity, or wireless carrier, Apple is listing the lower priced device as being available to ship in 1-3 business days.
