MSI Reveals Wind NetOn AP1900 All-In-One PC

Apple has its iMac, Dell has its XPS One and MSI has its Wind NetOn AP1900. You heard right -- MSI is jumping feet first into the all-in-one PC game, strategically adding the "Wind" moniker that has served it so well in the netbook arena. And we must say, the design here isn't all that bad considering that it's MSI's first shot at getting it right.

Reportedly, the AP1900 is the world's thinnest all-in-one PC, measuring in at just 35 millimeters (1.377 inches) thick. In fact, some users may prefer to ditch the stand entirely and mount it given that it comes with VESA mount compatibility. Internally, the machine houses a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, an 18.5-inch WSXGA widescreen panel, up to 2GB of DDR2 RAM, Intel's GMA950 graphics set, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and two built-in speakers. All the usual amenities are here as well, including gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, a 4-in-1 card reader (SD, MMC, MS and xD), three USB 2.0 ports, VGA output, a DVD burner and a 160GB SATA hard drive.

Needless to say, gamers will want to steer clear of this machine given the weak CPU choice and the integrated GPU, but those looking to simply surf the web, check email and write up the occasional Word document should be taken care of. What we really have here is a nettop with an inbuilt display, but regrettably, we don't have a price or release date to go along with it.
