MSI Intros 14" CR400 'Classic' Notebook
Hot on the heels of the 14" EX460 gaming notebook from MSI comes the classically styled CR400, a toned-down version of a typical MSI laptop that aims more for the "all-business" crowd that the LAN party attendee. In fact, the CR400 is the first in the company's new "Classic" series, which is comprised of the 14" CR400, 16" CR600 and 17.3" CX700 and CR700.
According to MSI, these machines boast a "unibody" frame that has been made popular by Apple in their latest MacBook Pro machines. Other specifications include a 6-cell battery, 2kg weight, a so-called Ergonomic De-Stress keyboard, NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G graphics, a LED backlit panel, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and an ECO Engine that helps conserve power when possible.
As for the CPU, you'll get an Intel Core 2 Duo chip alongside 2GB of DDR2 RAM (4GB maximum), a 1.3MP webcam, Ethernet, 4-in-1 card reader, three USB 2.0 sockets, a 2.5" HDD (250/320/500GB), DVD SuperMulti drive, and audio input and output ports. MSI has yet to reveal pricing, but we suspect it'll be pretty modest given the hardware here.
