We first got a glimpse of AMD’s new Wraith coolers back in early January at CES. As a replacement for AMD’s long-serving PIB coolers, Wraith promised a greater surface area to dissipate heat, a copper base, aluminum fins, and a low-noise fan to keep the ruckus down. The cooler made its official debut the following month with the FX-8370 and A10-7890K processors. Today, AMD announced that the Wraith cooler — which we found to indeed be both extremely quiet and with respectable cooling performance in our own testing — is now available on the FX-8350 and FX-6350 processors. AMD made a number of platform and processor related announcements a few weeks back at the Consumer Electronics Show, but we already have some additional updates from the team to share with you today. At CES, the company revealed the upcoming A10-7890K APU, as well as its plans to move all next-gen processors to a single socket, dubbed socket AM4, and the new Wraith cooler.
