One might expect Nokia to be first to announce a full series of Windows 8 devices. After all, it sold out to Microsoft in order to ditch Symbian and allow its Lumia hardware to run nothing but Windows Phone. But, it seems that isn't the case. This week, Samsung introduced the first Windows Phone 8 product: the ATIV S. It's a really stunning phone, fairly simplistic in design but classy nonetheless. Windows Phone 8 may not be coming to Nokia's Lumia 900, but Windows Phone 7.8 will be. The company had to make the tough decision to cut-and-run in order to make WP8 the best that it could be, but the good news for early adopters is that WP7.8 brings a lot of the same visual elements to older devices.
