An update on the official Windows Blog by Microsoft senior marketing communications manager Brandon LeBlanc unveiled the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter. It is a device that will connect to a monitor, HDTV, or projector with both HDMI and USB connectivity. Retailing for $59.95, the wireless adapter will allow users to share content but only from Miracast-enabled device. This includes PCs and Tablets that run Windows 8.1 with LeBlanc using a Dell Venue 8 Pro and Lumia 1520 for his demonstrations.
