We now have an official date for Microsoft's Surface event, and it will be held just over a month from now on October 2nd in New York City. Although the invite that Microsoft sent out to the press makes no mention of what devices will be on the docket during the event, we have a pretty good idea about what might be shown off. For starters, Microsoft has been hinting at and teasing a dual-screen Surface device for what seems like forever. In fact, it's said that dual-screen devices would be the primary target for what Microsoft is internally calling Windows Lite. We have seen a push towards folding devices more recently with handsets like Samsung's Galaxy Fold and Huawei's Mate X, though the types of hardware Microsoft is envisioning would be closer in concept to the Courier. Going after Chromebooks would not... Read more...
