Samsung already told us that the Galaxy S9 family would not be ready in time for a CES 2018 reveal, so speculation pointed to the next potential high-profile electronics show: Mobile World Congress 2018 (MWC 2018). That speculation has now been validated, with Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh confirming that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will make their first appearance next month in Barcelona, Spain. The February unveil is a month earlier than the fireworks for last year's Galaxy S8 family, which were announced at a separate Samsung Unpacked event in New York City.
