Samsung hoped to set the tech community ablaze with its Galaxy Fold smartphone, which as its names implies features a folding display. However, early problems with the protective display film and the hinge mechanism have postponed the launch indefinitely. A newly uncovered patent shows that Samsung is working on a wild rollable smartphone display that achieves the same goal as the Galaxy Fold: providing users with a large display screen that can convert into a more pocketable form-factor when not in use.
