All signs are pointing towards Apple releasing a new iPhone early next year. Rather than Apple breaking with tradition to make an early announcement of an iPhone 7, the company is expected to introduce a new entry-level smartphone: the iPhone 6C. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously stated that the iPhone 6C will largely look like a slightly redesigned iPhone 5S that incorporates the 2.5D glass from the iPhone 6S/iPhone 6S Plus. When we hear rumors about upcoming Apple products, we usually take them with a grain of salt. But when Mark Gurman is behind those rumors, we definitely are notice, as he has a track record of being more right than wrong in recent years when it comes to Apple announcements. It doesn’t happen very often, but Apple on occasion leaks upcoming products either via its website or via the App Store. The last such incident happened in October when the user guide for the iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 2 leaked a day before the official keynote. Today, another Apple product has leaked, but this one likely won’t be officially revealed for another few months. At first glance, the image below could be easily mistaken for the nearly two-year-old iPhone 5C. However, closer inspection shows that this pink iPhone has Touch ID in place of standard home button.
