We were first introduced to NVIDIA's 12nm Volta GV100 GPU architecture back in early May 2017 when the Tesla V100 Accelerator debuted. Word around the water cooler is that NVIDIA is preparing to launch a couple of new graphics cards, the GeForce GTX 2080 and GeForce GTX 2070, during its GPU Technology Conference (GTC) next month. The new cards are said to be based on NVIDIA's upcoming 12-nanometer 'Ampere' architecture, which itself has been the subject of rumors and speculation over the past few weeks.
