You have to admire Samsung's ability to clown the competition in advertisements and social media, though not everything the company puts out there is intended to draw laughs. Samsung has a serious side as well, which is on display in a couple of new and informative videos showing off the Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit. They're a nice change of pace from the usual fodder, be they humorous or over hyped. Today we were on hand at Samsung's Unpacked press event in New York City to see the live unveiling of the upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone, and Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit smartwatches. If you haven't already seen our coverage of the original announcment, the Samsung's upcoming flagship features a 5.1-inch (1920x1080) Super AMOLED display and a quad-core 2.5GHz SoC paired to 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of storage, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB of additional storage. Our skepticism of the smartwatch sector having the legs to go the distance hasn't swayed Samsung from forging ahead with second generation models of its Galaxy Gear. Making an official appearance just ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) is Samsung's Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, which offer users even more customization than before.
