Go ahead T-Mobile customers, toss that slow-as-molasses HTC Dream (G1) phone into the river, the same one that enticed you get locked into a 2-year agreement back before all the cool Android phones made their way to other wireless carriers. You won't be needing it anymore, not with the Samsung Vibrant now being offered, an Android phone you can finally be excited about. Yes, this is coming from a bitter T-Mobile customer who watched in envy as the Motorola Droid, HTC Incredible, and other awesome smartphones shipped to Verizon and, well, everywhere but T-Mobile. But Samsung did all of us a solid by offering up its Galaxy S smartphone across the board, with each wireless vendor slapping their... Read more...

This feature-filled phone has a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and 16GB of internal storage. Another 4G smartphone on Sprint? Yep, and we get the idea that Sprint will be milking that 4G headstart as much as possible over the next few months. With the HTC EVO 4G still firmly in the spotlight, Samsung is introducing America's 2nd 4G smartphone, though Sprint does point out that this is the first in the US with a slide-QWERTY keyboard and AMOLED touch screen. The screen on this new Epic 4G isn't nearly as large as the EVO 4G, but for those who strongly prefer real keyboards to virtual ones, it's a no-brainer. Basically, the Epic 4G is a Galaxy S smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard, complete with a front-facing camera, 4" Super AMOLED display, access to Samsung's Media Hub, DLNA support,... Read more...
One has to wonder if Verizon Wireless is worried at all about giving consumers too many options. It may sound far-fetched at first, but there's a growing number of high-end Android smartphones on Verizon's network, and while we understand the need to build up the arsenal in order to coax people to coming over in favor of the iPhone 4, it may be getting to the point where there's too much product overlap and confusion. But if the DROID, DROID Eris, DROID Incredible, DROID X and forthcoming DROID 2 just don't have what you're looking for, Samsung has a new device headed over to join those guys. The new Fascinate is the Verizon-branded Galaxy S, complete with a massive AMOLED touch panel, Android... Read more...
