Maybe it came down to a licensing issue or perhaps publisher Electronic Arts never considered it, but I can't help but there there was a missed, golden opportunity to play Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire to the new gameplay trailer for Battlefield V's upcoming Firestorm battle royale mode. That's okay, though, because the trailer is pretty awesome in its own right. For the most part, Firestorm sticks to the tried-and-true battle royale script, though instead of a semi-invisible barrier closing in on the action, there is a literal firestorm that encompasses the map. In a little over five weeks from now, Battlefield V will land on PC and consoles in finished form, bringing with it both multiplayer and single player action. Publisher Electronic Arts released a new trailer that shows off elements of the latter. It's a little over two minutes long and gives a glimpse of the various War Stories that will comprise the single player campaign. It is time for every history buff’s favorite activity: analyzing the historical accuracy of modern media. The YouTube channel The Great War recently published a video critiquing the historical accuracy of the Battlefield 1 trailer. The trailer for Battlefield 1 was released on May 6th, 2016. According to Indy Neidell, the voice behind The Great War video, the trailer is a hodgepodge of accuracy. Some of the most spectacular moments in the trailer, such as the tanks bursting into trenches or giant, ominous zeppelins hovering, are actually historically accurate.
