Around this time last year, BMW outed its Concept Z4 Roadster, which as it turns out was a thinly-veiled look at the all-new 2019 Z4. Images of the non-camouflaged 2019 Z4 leaked over the weekend, and now we're getting a glimpse at the first official renders that have made their way to the internet ahead of the vehicle's debut at Pebble Beach. Needless to say, the changes from concept to production are minimal, so if you liked the looks of the Concept Z4, there's a pretty good chance that you'll like what you see here in Z4 M40i trim. Hot on the heels of the Concept 8 Series that was unveiled at the Concorzo d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy, BMW has pulled the wraps off the successor to the long-in-the-tooth E89 generation Z4 convertible (first introduced way back in 2009). BMW’s Concept Z4 adopts a similar design language to the aforementioned Concept 8 Series, but in a more lithe package. For better or worse, the Concept Z4 shows no real stylistic links with the current vehicle, save for its two-door convertible layout.  Even the super-long hood proportions of the last two generations of Z4 have been pared down somewhat.
