The last time that we visited AOC, the company announced four members of its G1 series of curved gaming monitors. Today, the company is announcing a new member of its AGON premium monitor family: the AG322QC4. The AG322QC4 is a 32-inch monitor with a QHD (2560x1440) display resolution. The monitor has a 4ms VA panel with an 1800R curve, is backed by AMD's FreeSync 2 technology, and covers 85 percent of the NTSC color gamut. In addition, it's the first AGON monitor to support HDR, and has in fact gained Display HDR400 certification. Samsung hopes to bring curved displays to the masses with its 27-inch CF591. The monitor has an MSRP of $349.99 and is discounted in Samsung’s online store (and others), dropping the price to just under the $300 mark. Even without the discount though, the CF591 is one of the more affordable high-end curved displays, though it’s not the cheapest one currently available. But Samsung hopes that it hit the sweet spot here by combining tempting features with a low-ish price. Curved monitors certainly look cool, but display makers have had a tough time making convincing arguments that they’re necessary. It wouldn’t be CES without a sea of hot new monitors from Samsung. This year, Samsung is showing off three curved monitors – one of which is being billed as the first frameless curved monitor in the world. Curved TVs aren’t entirely new, and the feature is finding its way into more monitors. Samsung CF591 The edgeless Samsung CF591 is the real head-turner, with a noticeable 1800R curvature. One of the chief complaints users have about curved screens is limited viewing angles. If you sit in the wrong position in front of certain curved screens, you can’t see the screen well.
