Zotac Intros NVIDIA GTX 285 Infinity Edition
The GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition pairs up NVIDIA's famed GPU with a high-performance water-block for higher than usual frame rates and lower than average temperatures. The unit is cooled by an all-copper water-block, which enables it to operate at higher clock frequencies while maintaining lower operating temperatures than the existing, non-watercooled version. Just so we're clear, Zotac ships the card with a water-block preinstalled with standard fittings that enable users to integrate it within existing or new water-cooling systems.
Carsten Berger, marketing director of Zotac International, stated the following about the outfit's newest product: "We saw that high-end enthusiasts were using water-cooling systems increase overclocking performance and lower operating temperatures. With our Zotac GeForce GTX 285 Infinity Edition, we’re able to offer a water-cooling ready high-performance graphics card that integrates well with existing water-cooling components at a relatively low cost."
Also of note, the actual GeForce GTX 285 graphics processor is a "slightly tweaked" iteration that features 240 overclocked stream processors and 1GB of GDDR3 video memory. There's also a 512-bit memory bus, support for NVIDIA CUDA, PhysX and SLI technologies, a 722MHz core clock, 2700MHz memory clock, 1584MHz shader clock and a wide array of inputs. No mention of pricing is made, but you can scroll down below for a complete look at the card's specifications.
