YouTube Offers 60fps Video Support, Gamers Get Ready To Flaunt It, Battlefield Hardline Trailer Showcased

Get ready to see gaming action on YouTube as you've never seen it before -- in 60 frames per second! That's right, YouTube will soon give you the option of uploading game footage that renders at 60fps, which is double the previous 30fps rendering cap. Game developers and publishers are stoked at the announcement because it means they can offer viewers a more true representation of how their games will flow.

"Your video game footage with crazy high frame rates will soon look as awesome on YouTube as it does when you’re playing, when we launch support for 48 and even 60 frames per second in the coming months," YouTube announced in a blog post.

Battlefield Hardline 60fps and a HOT LZ

There's already some preview footage available in the YT Creator Channel (make sure you're watching in HD). In addition, EA's Visceral Games posted a trailer for its upcoming Battlefield Hardline game in its native frame rate. Have a look:

Battlefield Hardline represents a deviation from the typical Battlefield experience. It's more cops-and-robbers than anything else as police engage in a war on crime. You'll have access to military-grade weapons and vehicles such as the UH-60 Blackhawk, along with police equipment like tasers and handcuffs. The game is due to arrive on October 21, 2014.

As of right now, the option to upload videos in 60fps isn't available, though keep checking back as it should be implemented soon.
