ViewSonic Announces TD2220 Dual Point Optical Touch Display

ViewSonic announced the new TD2220 touch enabled LED. This 22-inch monitor features dual point optical touch technology and a scratch resistant surface. The TD2220 supports Full HD 1080p resolution and offers DVI with HDCP and VGA inputs. The monitor offers a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a response time of 5ms.

The TD2220 also features integrated speakers with SRS Premium Sound. The monitor supports the USB HID Touch driver and comes with dual USB ports which enable you to connect a keyboard and mouse, external storage, or other devices. The monitor is Energy Star and EPEAT Silver certified. ViewSonic claims it offers an energy savings of up to 40% compared to same-sized monitors.

“The TD2220 is designed to serve the needs of commercial verticals such as kiosk and information desks where touch functionality is required, as well as for consumers who want a touch-enabled display,” said Erik Willey, LCD monitor and PC product marketing director at ViewSonic. “This is because of the TD2220’s dual point optical touch technology, which offers a highly accurate touch experience. Paired with its superior performance and durable 8H surface, this display will stand up to most any high traffic environment.”

The TD2220 comes with a 3-year limited warranty. The TD2220 will be available the third week of October for about $329.
