Toshiba's Camileo P100 and B10 Camcorders Record 1080p on a Budget
For every gem you find on YouTube, there are at least a dozen crappy videos recorded in standard definition. It's not YouTube's fault -- the Google owned video sharing site came into existence before affordable hand-held camcorders capable of shooting HD videos emerged. But as long as companies like Toshiba keep releasing high-tech gear at low-tech prices, we expect to see higher quality videos posted online.
Take Toshiba's newly introduced Camileo P100 and B10 camcorders, for example. As the more expensive of the two, the P100 will only set rookie directors back $180 (MSRP), yet it offers Full HD 1080p recording, a 5x optical zoom, and a 16MP photo resolution. It also sports a swiveling 3-inch LCD touchscreen display and is highly portable at only 4.7 ounces.

Still too much skrilla? The Camileo B10 also shoots Full HD 1080p video, but costs just $120 (MSRP). This one boasts a built-in 2-inch LCD screen, 16x digital zoom, and an even leaner profile at just 3 ounces. Both camcorders feature an HDMI port, an Internet Upload Button, motion detection, time-lapse, face tracking, and a webcam mode.
