Toshiba's 7" Thrive Android 3.2 Tablets Ships Today, Starts At $379.99

We suspect that the wave of low-cost Android tablets will fully hit at CES 2012, but Toshiba's trying to get in a little early. The Thrive isn't a Fire-priced slate, but with two models starting at $379.99, it's certainly not as pricey as the market-leading iPad. The 7" Android tablet boasts a 1280x800 native resolution, NVIDIA's Tegra 2, a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, a microSD slot, USB port, Micro HDMI port, DLNA support and Bluetooth. Android 3.2 is the OS onboard, and there's also built-in GPS. The real news, however, is that it's shipping in the U.S. starting today, so if you've had your eye on it, now's the time to jump.
