T-Mobile Snags Galaxy S Relay 4G: Android 4.0 Smartphone With QWERTY Keyboard

T-Mobile USA may be looking at a holiday season without an iPhone to sell, but it's gearing up for the months ahead by expanding its range of Android products. The carrier just announced that it'll soon have the Galaxy S Relay 4G, which is actually set to be a T-Mobile exclusive. It'll ship with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich, not the newest 4.1 Jelly Bean), and it'll support T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42 network. For enterprise users, you'll be glad to know that this is a SAFE (Samsung Approved For Enterprise) product, which offers "comprehensive IT Policy support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) solutions, on-device AES-256 bit encryption, and enhanced support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, as well as integrated support for a range of virtual private network solutions."

There's also a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, Wi-Fi calling and support for Smartphone Mobile HotSpot for up to five devices. The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G is expected to be available nationwide at T-Mobile retail stores, select national retailers and dealers, and online via www.T-Mobile.com in the coming weeks, but no pricing information has been released just yet.
