TeamGroup Launches Dark Zα DDR4-4000 Memory, Cardea Zero Z440 PCIe 4.0 5GB/sec SSD For AMD Ryzen 3000
First up is its new, AMD-optimized DARK Zα DDR4 gaming memory, which is available in 16GB (8GBx2) and 32GB (16GBx2) kits. The modules will be available in DDR4-3200, DDR4-3600, and DDR4-4000 speed ratings. The DDR4-3200 modules have timings of CL16-18-18-38, while the DDR4-3600 and DDR4-4000 modules are both rated at CL18-22-22-42.
All of the modules are backed with a lifetime warranty and come with an aluminum alloy heatsink. In addition, TeamGroup says that the memory will also be supported on upcoming TRX40 motherboards for the third-generation Ryzen Threadripper family. It should be noted that until this point, we didn’t have official public confirmation from either AMD or its hardware partners about TRX40.
The other product that TeamGroup is announcing today is only currently supported on mainstream X570-based motherboards. The CARDEA ZERO Z440 is a PCIe 4.0 m.2 SSD that offers blazing speeds for gaming enthusiasts. As has been the base with just about every other PCIe 4.0 SSD that has been announced up to this point, the CARDEA ZERO Z440 is rated for read speeds of up to 5,000MB/sec, while writes max out at 4,400MB/sec. Random read/write IOPS are pegged at 750K/750K. These figures put the TeamGroup SSD well ahead of its PCIe 3.0 counterparts, and we should only see these figures climb in future products as more native PCIe 4.0 SSD controllers begin to ship.
The CARDEA ZERO Z440 will be available in both 1TB and 2TB configurations, have a MTBF of 1.7 million hours, and comes backed with a 5-year warranty.
At this time, TeamGroup has not announced pricing or availability for the DARK Zα DDR4 memory modules or the CARDEA ZERO Z440 PCIe 4.0 SSD.
