TCL's Big Screen 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart TVs Get Even Cheaper With These Deals
Movie, TV, and gaming fans are often after the biggest screen they can cram into their living room or bedroom. The catch is that massive screen sizes are often very expensive. TCL has been offering some smoking good deals on big TVs with support for 4K HDR content and Roku streaming built in over the last few months. Before the Super Bowl earlier this month Amazon had some TCL TVs on sale for excellent prices.
The TCL 65-inch 65S517 TV that was on sale before the Super Bowl for right at $694 is on sale with an even bigger discount currently. You can get that same TV for just under $650 with free Prime shipping right now. The 55-inch version of that TV that was $449.99 is still available right now for that same price, a $250 discount off the regular price.
If neither of those TCL TVs had the features you were looking for, TCL does have a couple of new offerings on sale at Amazon. The higher-end TCL 65R617 65-inch 4K Ultra HD Roku smart LED TV is on sale right now on Amazon for $829.99, which is a $470 discount off the regular price. If that is more screen than you want, the TCL 55R617 55-inch TV can be had for $579.99, a discount of $220 off the regular price.
Those wondering what the difference is between the higher-priced 6-series and 5-series TVs listed here, the main difference has to do with the cheaper TCL big screens supporting HDR10, while the more expensive TCL TVs support what TCL calls Premium HDR. The 6-Series TVs also support something called Contrast Control Zone that promises image optimization across up to 120 zones for better contrast between light and dark areas. It's hard to say if you would notice the difference without comparing the TVs side-by-side.
