SteelSeries just released the Rival 700 Modular Gaming Mouse, which comes with the first fully customizable OLED display, and customizable tactile alerts giving gamers real-time information and notifications. Everything is customizable in their SteelSeries Engine 3 software, which leads the company to claim that this is the “most powerful gaming mouse” around.
The mouse weighs 0.3lbs (135g) and measures 4.92in (124.85mm) x 2.70 in( 68.46mm) x 1.65in ( 41.97mm). It has a total of seven buttons and is rated for 30 million clicks. The mouse comes with a short non-braided cable (3.28 ft. or 1m) and a long, braided cable (6.5 ft or 2m). The Rival 700 is also equipped with Prism RGB Illumination with over 16.8 million colors to choose from, and an Optical PixArt PMW3360 sensor.
The Tactile Alerts are placed in the middle of the mouse so that the user can feel the pulse in the center of the palm. Users can customize vibration patterns, duration, and triggers. In-game event triggers include health, ammo, mana, disables, headshots, and stuns. The user can also choose between vibration patterns such as Short and Long Buzz, Fast and Slow Heartbeats, Sad Trombone, Double Click, Triple Click, and others.
The OLED screen, which cycles at ten frames per second, is customizable as well. Users can customize CPIs, lift off distance, swap between profiles, and view key binds. They can also switch between settings for your different games or weapons and even upload animated GIFs.
The Rival 700 is currently available for $99.99 USD.
