Sprint To Get First 4G LTE Tablet On November 11

Sprint will begin offering its first 4G LTE tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 on November 11. The tablet will sell for $549.99. The Galaxy Tab 2 features Android 4.0 as well as a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 10.1-inch touchscreen.

You'll find a 3 megapixel rear-facing camera on the Galaxy Tab 2 as well as a front-facing VGA camera. Thanks to its built-in IR blaster, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 can be used as a universal remote for controlling your TV and home theater equipment.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is compatible with Sprint's month-to-month tablet rate plans for Sprint 4G LTE tablets. Sprint offers discounted rate plans for smartphone customers. The discounted plan includes 1GB of data for $15 per month. Customers also have the option of a $10 per month plan that includes 100MB of data. Sprint is waiting the activation fee on 3G/4G tablets for a limited time.
