Sprint customers who’ve been waiting for the
HTC Touch Pro2
won’t have to wait much longer. This hot new phone will be available on
Sprint’s network beginning September 8 for $349.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate
and a two-year agreement.
The
Touch Pro2 runs on
Windows
Mobile 6.1 and the TouchFLO user interface. The latest version of HTC’s
TouchFLO 3D user interface makes it easy to switch from email to a call with a
single touch. The phone also supports many of Sprint’s entertainment
applications including Sprint TV with live and on-demand programming, NFL
Mobile Live, and NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile.
The phone features a 3.6-inch WVGA variable-angle tilting
touch screen and a slide-out keyboard that is larger than its predecessor. In
terms of connectivity, the Touch Pro2 supports
EVDO Rev. A
and Wi-Fi. The phone also offers International Quad-Band capability (CDMA,
GSM).
Additional business features include Straight Talk
Technology with dual speakers; dual microphones and a mute button to provide a
professional speakerphone experience; full HTML browser from Opera; stereo
Bluetooth wireless technology; WorldCard Mobile Business Card Scanner; Facebook
integration; and Linked inboxes, which link personal and work contacts.
