Sprint Gets LG Lotus Elite & LG Rumor Touchscreen Phones
The LG Lotus Elite will feature the Sprint One Click user interface which lets users personalize their home screens by selecting and organizing various features and content such as text messaging, Google search, Sprint Navigation, email, favorite Web sites, music, and social networking.
The LG Lotus Elite has a unique square flip-phone shape with a tattoo pattern and full QWERTY keyboard. This phone also offers an external touchscreen that lets you view emails, texts, and pictures without opening the phone. New features with the LG Lotus Elite include dual 2.4-inch QVGA screens, microSD support for up to 32GB, and dedicated shortcut keys for social networking, email, and text. The phone retains many of the popular features of the original LG Lotus including the 2 megapixel camera and camcorder, full QWERTY keyboard, and Google search capabilities.
As a successor to the original LG Rumor, the LG Rumor Touch offers a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera and camcorder, microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB, Google Search, and 3G data capabilities. The LG Rumor Touch also offers access to Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, and Sprint Mobile Email.
The red LG Lotus Elite will be available today (January 10) for $99.99 with a new two-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate. The black version of the same phone is set to arrive on February 14. If you're wanting to get your hands on the new LG Rumor Touch, it will be available in blue sometime in the first quarter, though we're not given a definite date. Pricing is not yet available though customers can pre-register for LG Rumor Touch at www.sprint.com/lgstyle. Additional color options for the LG Rumor Touch are expected to follow later in the year.
