Spotify Celebrates One Year In The US, 13 Billion Tracks Played

Can you believe it's been a year since Spotify launched in the US? Since then, the music streaming outlet has enjoyed tremendous growth. In the past year, Americans have played more than 13 billion tracks on the service. Sharing is even more popular, with 27,834,742 being shared. A little over half of that sharing occurred through Facebook, as you can see from Spotify's cool infographic below.

Spotify has also grown with the launch of its free apps. Currently, Spotify offers apps for iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows Phone, Palm, BlackBerry, and a free mobile radio. Some of Spotify's popular features include the ability to create playlists, search and share music, and more. In addition to its free service, Spotify offers an Unlimited service for $4.99 per month and a Premium service for $9.99 per month. The Unlimited service removes advertising. With Premium, you'll get the ability to listen offline, enhanced sound quality, the ability to play Spotify through music systems, exclusive content, and more.

Spotify promises there's more to come in the following year. What will the next 365 days bring for the streaming service? We'll have to wait to find out.
