Sony Debuts VAIO EA And VAIO EC Laptops With Wild Color Options

If you're in the mood for an all-in-one desktop, Sony's VAIO J has you covered. But what if you'd prefer some of that VAIO style on a notebook? You're covered there as well, with the VAIO EA and VAIO ES families launching today with a crazy amount of crazy color options.

The VAIO EA series is based around a 14" frame, while the EC series appeases the large-screen lovers with a 17.3" panel. Both machines are available in a variety of color options, everything from neon green to pink to white to black. Both systems are relatively affordable, with starting prices at around $700. They each feature similar internal specs, with a Core i3-350M CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Since these are both budget systems, neither has an option for Blu-ray. There are, however, internal DVD drives on both, along with an HDMI output and Sony's own instant-on operating system. Further details are forthcoming, but expect each to ship this July with pre-sales opening today.
