Shuttle D1416 Surveillance Solution
Billed as "Your Reliable Surveillance Solution" by the folks over at Shuttle this little wonder is indeed unique. Available in a Mini-ITX/Shuttle form factor, this barebone package is targeted at the home surveillance market and includes the features needed for just that purpose.
The D1416 features a 7-inch touch screen display located on the front and a surveillance card supporting up to 16 cameras. Also included is camera monitoring and recording software that has features like motion detection and remote surveillance capability with the ability to control it all from the touch screen. Users can set the software to record based on a custom schedule and all recordings are time stamped.
Another feature of the D1416 is "Dual Monitor Real-Time Display" capability.
The Shuttle's application menu allows you to play video, music, and perform a variety of multimedia functions all without the need of a mouse or keyboard by simply using the touch screen.
In case the software or hardware happens to malfunction the Shuttle D1416 has a "Watch Dog" feature that automatically reboots the PC to resume its surveillance tasks.
