Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 Finds Life In FCC, Should Ship Soon
The Tab 10.1 has an interesting story. The original Tab 10.1 was both thicker and heavier than the iPad 2, and Samsung quickly decided to just scrap it and try again. It survived in select regions as the Tab 10.1v, but it's clear that this new 10.1 is their flagship unit. Both 3G and Wi-Fi models are expected soon, with pricing to start at $499. It's hard to say if Apple will be able to announce anything new surrounding the iPad line during WWDC before the Tab 10.1 ships, but now that it's through the FCC, it should really only be a matter of days/weeks before it flies out to consumers.
