Samsung Unveils Gear Fit2 Fitness Tracker And Gear IconX Premium Smart Earbuds

Samsung just unveiled the Gear Fit2 Fitness Tracker and Gear IconX Premium Smart Earbuds. The Gear IconX is a cordless fitness earbud that can still track fitness information and provide users with running feedback on their exercise performance.

The Gear Fit2 is sleek and ergonomic. It includes an 1.5” AMOLED curved display with a high-resolution color touchscreen, a dual-core chipset, 512MB of RAM, and a 200 mAh battery. It is compatible with Android 4.4 devices and runs Samsung's Tizen OS.
The Gear Fit2 also boasts integrated Spotify apps, a standalone music player, GPS and HRM functions to provide accurate data tracking of activities. Users can create a Step Goal Challenge that can be instantly shared on Facebook and easily transfer their data between S Health and other fitness applications.
The lightweight Gear IconX comes with 4GB of memory (capable of storing up to 1,000 songs) and a 47 mAh battery with a 315 mAh charging case. It is also compatible with Android 4.4 (and higher) devices. It includes a Voice Guide feature that provides instant voice feedback on the user’s workout progress. It tracks fitness data such as distance, speed, duration, heart rate and calories burned as well.
Pre-orders for the $179 Gear Fit2 will begin today at Amazon, Best Buy and BestBuy.com, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macy’s, and Samsung.com. It will come in black, blue, and pink and in two band sizes. The Gear IconX will include three different sizes of eartips and wingtips and will come in blue, black, and white. It will be available in July for $199 USD.
