By that we mean it's intended for users who require not only a high resolution, but also accurate color reproduction for video and photo editing, graphic design, mapping and simulation, architecture, engineering, and the list goes on. Samsung goes the extra mile by incorporating its Natural Color Expert engine with 16-bit hardware calibration and 11 selectable color space settings to enable a high level of fine tuning.
Other features include an 8ms response time (GTG), quad and dual window picture-by-picture, picture-in-picture 2.0 support, four-port USB hub with charging, and an adjustable stand with 30-degree left-right swivel and 90-degree pivot capabilities for portrait and landscape orientations. Connectivity options include Dual Link DVI, two DisplayPort 1.2 ports, an a single HDMI 1.4 port.
The UD970 will be available later this month for $2,000.
