Samsung Galaxy Note III Rumored to Release September 4th

Anticipation is running high for the Galaxy Note III, just as it typically does for pretty much any Samsung device, hence why the company poses such a big threat to Apple in the mobile space. But that's a story for another day. The topic here is the Galaxy Note III and when it will release to retail. Assuming the latest leaked information is true, Samsung's shiny phablet will drop on September 4, 2013.

Back in June, an analyst guesstimated a September launch, prompting AndroidGeeks to seek out confirmation. Apparently the site was able to get in touch with "a person close to the matter," who then confirmed that the Galaxy Note III will launch in two months, and on September 4 specifically.

The source added that the South Korean handset maker will announce in August a special Samsung Unpacked event hosted in Berlin on September 4th, and that it will officially introduce the Galaxy S III at that time. Samsung's pretty much copying its launch blueprint from the Galaxy Note II, in which it was announced during an Unpacked event a few days before it debuted at IFA Berlin 2012.

Hardware is still a mystery, though it's believed the Galaxy Note III will rock a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB of built-in storage, 13MP rear-facing camera, and of course Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
